A spot of humour

Two old men went into the pro shop after a round of golf.  The pro asked, "Did you guys have a good game today?"  The first one said, "Yes, I had three riders today."  The second said, "I had the most riders ever. I had five."
As they went out, another golfer who had overheard said to the pro: "I thought I knew all the golf terms, but what's a rider?"
The pro answered: "A rider is when you hit the ball far enough to actually get in the buggy and ride to it." -- Howard P. Curtis.

S.O.S. CALLOUT

"Mayday! Mayday!  10.0. a.m.  Saturday.  Phone call from The  Great Golf Co. Balsicas.  A young tour professional in deep distress,  his Scotty Cameron putter having been severely damaged in the hold of the plane, and  faced with the prospect of no putter for his event the following day.   I rushed to his rescue!  By 11.30. putter reshafted, ready for use.  Disaster averted.  Good luck to Scott Crichton.

(I hope he remembers me when he wins the Open)
