Th 11th, 12th and 13th holes at Augusta were christened "Amen Corner"by golf writer Herbert Warren Wind in an article in the Sports Illustrated which came out during the 1958 Masters.  He called them that because of the incredible way Arnold Palmer played them, escaping from seemingly impossible difficulties on each.

August National golf course closes from June to October each year.  The last day before closing is called "Caddie Day."  Caddies are free to play as many rounds as they like for the one day.

The Champions dinner is held on the Thursday evening before the tournament.  The defending champion is the guest of honour and gets to choose the menu.  Sandy Lyle chose Musselburgh Pie and Haggis and Neaps.  (Anyone know what Musselburgh Pie consists of?)  Tiger Woods had Cheeseburger and Chicken and chips.  Vijay Singh had curry.
